Football Fever

To help celebrate the start of the World Cup in Germany, children at the Kiddi Caru Day Nursery at Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes enjoyed a Football Fever Party.

The nursery garden was kitted out with a goal and the children practiced their penalty shoot outs, inside the children painted different flags representing some of the countries taking part in this years World Cup and they rounded the day off with a tea party.

Kiddi Caru organise a Great Big Party for Little People

image: Great Big Party at Milton KeynesOn Thursday 30th March 2006 – National Mother & Baby week, 10,000 pre-school groups and nurseries across the UK organised a Little People’s Great Big Party to raise essential life saving funds which go towards training for maternity healthcare professionals and the purchase and provision of equipment for maternity and special care baby units.

The children and staff at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes took part in this unique nationwide challenge by auctioning off the children art pieces with all the proceeds from the day being donated to the Baby Lifeline charity. After the auction the children celebrated with a great big teddy bears picnic.

Local nursery nurse walks the walk

Rachel Salmon, a Nursery Nurse at the Kiddi Caru Day Nursery at Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes took part in this year’s Playtex MoonWalk. Rachel accompanied by her Mum pounded the streets of London in a decorated bra along with thousands of other women to help raise money for Breast Cancer.

Rachel completed the 26 mile course in just eight hours and raised approximately £400. Well done from all your colleagues at Kiddi Caru!

Local nursery running for fun

image: Local nursery running for funStaff at the Kiddi Caru Day Nursery at Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes took part in the 5k Race 4 Life on Sunday 4th June, the UK’s biggest women only fund-raising event dressed as bunnies.

The girls raised over £600 which will help fund the life-saving research of Cancer Research UK. As well as being a fantastic fund-raising event for a worthy cause the day turned out to be a great team-building exercise.
