The staff at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery at Victoria Court in Chelmsford organised a fun day for all the children and their families to celebrate the nursery being one year old. Over 100 people attended taking part in various activities like ‘lucky dip ducks’, face painting, a giant raffle with prizes donated from local businesses or just relaxing in the nursery’s garden watching the children enjoying themselves.

Radio Station Essex FM came along and entertained the children and helped the nursery sell over 70 balloons as part of a Great Balloon Race. Balloons were sold for £1 each to help raise money for World Vision which is one of the world’s leading relief and development agencies, helping people in over 100 countries in their struggle against poverty. At the end of the fun day all the balloons were released by the children with help from Kiddi the Kangaroo.

Nursery Manager, Kelly Greenwood comments; ‘It was a fantastic day, it was great seeing all the children and their families have so much fun. I can not wait to see how far the balloons fly, we have a prize for the furthest travelled and for the lucky person who finds the balloon and returns the tag.’
